Category Schools - COTA Job Type Contract A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) is needed to support K-12 students in a dynamic school setting in Lowell, MA. This contract position offers a full school year assignment, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact within an educational environment. Responsibilities: Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to support students' functional abilities and educational goals Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to integrate therapeutic strategies into classroom activities Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings as appropriate Promote independence, sensory processing, and fine motor skills development among students Qualifications: Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential Experience working with children in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong understanding of therapeutic interventions for K-12 students Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and organizational skills Commitment to supporting student growth and inclusion Location: Lowell, MA
