Description

  • Thoroughly assess patients across pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics utilizing both standardized evaluations and observational insights.
  • Craft tailored treatment plans that address immediate goals while also considering long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting communication, fluency, voice, and swallowing concerns.
  • Collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members to create integrated care plans.
  • Facilitate education for patients and their families to support progress beyond clinical encounters.
  • Assist with occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, ensuring continuity in care throughout each patients journey.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation that meets state, federal, and organizational regulations.
  • Engage in continuous educational opportunities to stay informed about advancements in the field and collaborate with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those who have not yet obtained ASHA certification.

Certifications

  • Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred but not required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
