Were hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Anchorage, AK where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The role requires competency across neonatal, pediatric, and adult respiratory care and participation in unit-wide respiratory support activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelors degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
- Current state license in good standing with the State License Board.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required. Candidates holding CRT must meet facility acceptance criteria.
- One year experience as an RRT. Experience with ER/CCU, NICU, and Level II care strongly preferred.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Demonstrated competency with ventilator setup and management for neonate through adult patients.
- Experience with Hi Flow in NICU, Bubble CPAP, BiPAP, nebulized treatments, nitric oxide, and Flolan therapy.
- Ability to perform and interpret EKGs.
- Ability to float and provide respiratory therapy coverage across all inpatient units.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a hospital respiratory therapy department covering multiple units.
- Neonatal ventilation and NICU respiratory protocols experience.
- Familiarity with hospital scrub attire and clinical dress standards.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 07:0019:00.
- Weekend and on-call responsibilities required.
- Floating across units within the hospital required.
