Overview
Maimonides is currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate, treat and manage referred patients with, or suspected with, communication (speech, language, cognition) or swallowing disorders on inpatient units and/or outpatient centers. You will collaborate with the healthcare team and conduct instrumental assessments as needed, and provide oversight to students and volunteers.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient abilities and impairments through history, exams, and tests; interprets results and makes recommendations.
- Plan and deliver high-quality clinical programs, sets goals, and recommends treatments and referrals.
- Communicate patient information effectively to team, patients, and families.
- Manage administrative tasks (scheduling, documentation, billing) per regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with the team on patient assignments and distribution.
- Monitor caseloads, manage time, and meet productivity standards.
- Adhere to policies, infection control, and quality improvement programs.
- Respond to supervision and use feedback constructively.
- Supervise students as assigned, completing required documentation.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology
- ASHA certification
- NYS licensure or eligible
- Minimum 1 year of experience; Clinical Fellowship/Supervisory year considered.
- Good interpersonal and English written/verbal communication skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish, Russian or Yiddish) preferred.
Pay Range
USD $60.00 - USD $60.00 /Hr.
