Physical Therapist Darlington, South Carolina

Physical therapists play a key role in helping individuals regain movement, manage pain, and improve overall function after injury or illness. This position focuses on providing high-quality care within an outpatient hospital environment, working closely with patients of all ages to develop and implement targeted treatment plans. The therapist in this role will also play a vital part in patient education, injury prevention strategies, and the supervision of physical therapy assistants and aides.

Schedule:

• Monday through Thursday, 8:00am 5:00pm
• Fridays, 8:00am 12:30pm
• Occasional weekend coverage (every 5 weeks) for acute care evaluations

Qualifications:

• Valid and current South Carolina Physical Therapist (PT) license (must be attached to resume)
• Minimum of two years recent experience as a PT, preferably with hospital experience
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (proof required with submission)
• Previous experience in a hospital or outpatient therapy setting preferred

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs for diverse patient populations
• Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation therapy, ergonomics, and wellness
• Supervise and mentor physical therapy assistants and aides in performing treatment plans
• Collaborate with medical teams to ensure comprehensive, individualized care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for patient records
