Physical therapists play a vital role in helping individuals regain mobility, manage pain, and improve function through evidence-based treatment programs. In this hospital-based contract role, you will evaluate patients, design and implement therapeutic interventions, and educate them on strategies for prevention, recovery, and overall wellness. Your expertise will make a difference in both outpatient and occasional acute care settings, supporting patients of all ages.
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Friday: 8:00 AM 12:30 PM
- Occasional weekend coverage for acute care evaluations (every 5 weeks)
Qualifications:
- Active South Carolina physical therapy license (must be attached to resume)
- Minimum of 2 years of recent physical therapy experience, with hospital experience preferred
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (must be included in submission packet)
- Outpatient experience required
- Ability to supervise assistants and aides in the delivery of treatment
Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough evaluations and develop patient-specific treatment plans
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote movement, reduce pain, and restore function
- Educate patients on injury prevention, rehabilitation, and ergonomics
- Supervise and provide guidance to PT assistants and aides
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care outcomes
