This contract opportunity is designed for a compassionate and skilled COTA to cover an FMLA leave starting August 27, 2026, coinciding with the first day of school. As a district-wide position, you will make an impact across Pre-K through 12th-grade classrooms, contributing to students' growth and success in their educational environment. Qualifications:
Active COTA license/certification (CT DPH License and NBCOT Exam passed)
School-based experience highly valued
Previous work with a variety of student ages and disability populations preferred
Reliable transportation essential due to district-wide coverage
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with Occupational Therapists, educators, and families
Strong documentation and organizational skills Responsibilities:
Work closely under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to execute treatment plans
Support students in building functional and academic skills
Serve the needs of diverse learners across multiple campuses in the district
Accurately document daily progress, treatment sessions, and communications
Participate in team meetings, providing insight on student progress and strategies
Adapt interventions creatively according to student needs and school settings This full-time position spans approximately 12 weeks, with the potential for extension. Schedules are expected to be around 7-7.5 hours daily, pending final district confirmation.
