Role Responsibilities

  • Create tailored treatment strategies aimed at fulfilling both immediate and ongoing communication and swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver focused speech therapy sessions targeting language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing capabilities.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and their families, empowering them to continue progress outside of the clinical environment.
  • Occasionally participate in inpatient therapy evaluations, assuring seamless transitions for patients in their recovery.
  • Document all practices thoroughly, complying with all relevant guidelines and standards.
  • Keep abreast of evolving practices in the field through ongoing education and collaborative efforts with peers.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a respected institution.
  • Supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) completion, pending ASHA certification where applicable.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Mandatory Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
