Role Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric groups utilizing both established assessments and your keen observational skills.
- Create customized treatment strategies that focus on both immediate goals and long-term communication or swallowing enhancements.
- Engage in personalized one-on-one therapy addressing language, communication, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing functions.
- Work collaboratively with an array of professionals including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, and family members to devise comprehensive care plans.
- Guide patients and their families with beneficial techniques to further enhance progress beyond therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations to ensure seamless care continuity throughout the recovery journey.
- Keep accurate documentation in accordance with relevant state and federal regulations as well as internal policies.
- Commit to ongoing learning and professional development through educational opportunities and peer engagement.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Experience completing Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Certifications Required
- A valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days post-hire.
