Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations across pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations using validated assessments and observational methods.
- Craft individualized treatment plans focused on achieving both immediate goals and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy methods concentrating on language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
- Collaborate closely with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, and families to establish unified care protocols.
- Provide education for patients and their families to encourage progress outside therapy sessions.
- Take part in periodic inpatient assessments and therapies, ensuring a seamless treatment journey for each patient.
- Maintain precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and institutional regulations.
- Stay abreast of advancements in your field through ongoing education and teamwork.
Education
- A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Successful completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for those not yet certified by ASHA.
Certifications
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days post-hire.
