Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized speech therapy sessions that delve into various aspects, including language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing function.
  • Work collaboratively alongside a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nursing staff, physicians, caregivers, and family members, to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
  • Provide educational resources for both patients and families to encourage progress between therapy sessions.
  • Assist with inpatient evaluations and therapies on occasion, ensuring a comprehensive approach to patient support.
  • Keep meticulous records that align with healthcare regulations, ensuring documentation is precise and timely.

Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet certified by ASHA.

Certifications

  • Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist within the state.
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment commencement.
