Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing recognized assessments and observational strategies.
• Craft customized treatment plans targeting both immediate needs and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
• Deliver focused speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing communication, language, fluency, vocal attributes, and swallowing capabilities.
• Partner with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to devise integrated care approaches.
• Educate patients and families effectively to support progress beyond the therapy room.
• Engage in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Keep abreast of advancements in the speech-language field through ongoing education and collaboration.

Education

• A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification needed within the first month of employment.
