Description

  • Deliver focused speech therapy interventions that encompass everything from language development to the intricacies of voice and fluency.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Provide ongoing education and support to patients and their families to facilitate continued growth outside the clinical environment.
  • Tackle occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions, maintaining high standards of care and support throughout recovery.
  • Document findings and therapy outcomes in compliance with all regulatory and organizational guidelines.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to remain abreast of the latest advancements in speech therapy.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first month of employment.
