Description

  • Conduct thorough evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients using evidence-based assessment methods.
  • Create tailored treatment plans to meet specific communication, cognitive, and swallowing objectives.
  • Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions aimed at enhancing patients' communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing abilities.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to implement effective care strategies.
  • Provide education to patients and families to help them continue making progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Participate in inpatient speech therapy evaluations and interventions when necessary, ensuring seamless care throughout the treatment process.
  • Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Engage in continuous professional development through educational opportunities and peer discussions.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • License to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
