School Speech Pathology Playas, New Mexico

A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for a contract position serving students from PreK through 12th grade across four schools in a K-12 setting located in Playas, New Mexico. This role involves providing specialized speech and language services within an itinerant model, with some paid travel between assigned schools to meet the needs of the caseload throughout the district. The contract covers the school year from August through May 14th, with a 35-hour workweek.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language therapy services to students PreK-12 in accordance with individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Document progress and maintain records using the districts PowerSchool IEP system (training is provided)
• Collaborate with educators, families, and administration to support student success
• Participate in paid team meetings and complete indirect administrative hours
• Provide services across multiple schools, managing travel and scheduling to effectively meet student needs

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid SLP certification/licensure appropriate for school settings
• Experience working in PreK-12 educational environments preferred
• Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
• Ability to work itinerantly across multiple school sites
• Proficiency with case management software and documentation practices
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
