Description

  • Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions focusing on aspects such as language development, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing techniques.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and family members to devise integrated care approaches.
  • Provide educational resources for patients and families, empowering them to support their progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Occasionally perform inpatient evaluations and therapies, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout the patient's journey.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation in alignment with state and federal standards as well as organizational protocols.
  • Commit to ongoing education and professional growth through workshops, seminars, and peer partnerships.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
  • Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
