Description

• Conduct assessments for pediatric, adult, and senior patients using standardized measures and detailed observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment strategies that address immediate concerns and long-range communication or swallowing objectives.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy tailored to individual needs, focused on communication, language, and voice.
• Engage in collaborative work with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, and families to formulate comprehensive care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to encourage progress beyond clinical interactions.
• Support occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient recovery journey.
• Keep precise and timely records in compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Advocate for ongoing professional development by staying informed about breakthroughs in practice through education and shared learning.

Education

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Successful completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Active state licensure as a Speech Language Therapist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
