Description

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing standardized tools and observational methods.
• Create tailored treatment plans focused on achieving both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeting language, voice, fluency, and swallowing challenges.
• Engage in collaborative teamwork with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and families to develop integrated care strategies.
• Provide educational resources to patients and families to enhance progress outside therapy sessions.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the patient's journey.
• Keep thorough and precise documentation that conforms to state and federal regulations.
• Commit to professional growth by staying informed on the latest advancements in speech-language pathology.

Education

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been achieved.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is highly preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
