Description

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning the pediatric, adult, and geriatric age groups using both standardized and observational assessment tools.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans that detail achievable short-term goals while addressing long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges.
  • Deliver personalized speech therapy interventions centered on communication, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing.
  • Collaborate closely with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to implement cohesive care plans.
  • Provide education for patients and families to facilitate progress outside of clinical appointments.
  • Participate in occasional evaluations and interventions in an inpatient setting, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the entire therapeutic process.
  • Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Stay engaged with the latest advancements in the field through continuous education and collaboration with peers.

Education

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

  • Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within the first 30 days of employment.
