Description

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients across different age groups, utilizing standardized assessments and keen observational skills.
• Craft customized treatment plans tailored to each individuals immediate and future communication and swallowing goals.
• Deliver dedicated speech therapy interventions focused on various aspects including language, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to foster integrated care plans.
• Educate patients and their families to enhance therapy outcomes beyond the therapy sessions.
• Participate in inpatient evaluations as needed, ensuring a seamless continuum of care throughout every stage of treatment.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation following all local, federal, and organizational guidelines.
• Pursue continuing education opportunities to stay ahead of industry advancements and engage with fellow professionals.

Education

• A Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not already ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
