Hiring: Speech-Language Pathologist On-Site, Licensed SLP Lake Charles, LA

Job Summary:
A school district in Lake Charles, LA is hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct services to K12 students. This on-site role plays a key part in helping students overcome communication challenges that impact their academic and social development. The ideal candidate is licensed, organized, and committed to collaborative, student-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders

• Create and implement treatment plans based on individualized education program (IEP) goals

• Provide direct therapy services in individual and group formats

• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation

• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families

• Support generalization of speech-language skills within the classroom environment

• Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal special education requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

• Valid Louisiana Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the Louisiana Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (LBESPA)

• Must hold an active Louisiana SLP teaching license

• Strong understanding of IEP development and evidence-based therapy practices

• Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills

• School-based experience preferred
