Position Available: Speech-Language Pathologist Full-Time School Position Near Lake Charles, LA

About the Role:
A school district in Lake Charles, LA is seeking a full-time, on-site Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their student services team. In this role, you will work with students across grade levels to support their communication skills and help them succeed academically and socially. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working in a school environment, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with staff and families.

Key Duties:

• Conduct speech-language evaluations and provide diagnostic reports

• Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals

• Deliver direct speech therapy to students in group and individual settings

• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to support communication strategies

• Document student progress and maintain therapy records in compliance with special education regulations

• Participate in IEP meetings and help inform eligibility and goal planning

Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology

• Active Louisiana SLP license issued by LBESPA

• Must hold a current Louisiana SLP teaching license

• Knowledge of IEP development, documentation, and school-based service delivery

• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills

• Prior school experience preferred but not required
