Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations for patients across all age demographics, employing standardized assessments alongside observational methods.
  • Craft individualized treatment plans targeting both immediate and long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing aspirations.
  • Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions centered on communication, language skills, fluency, voice production, and swallowing techniques.
  • Engage collaboratively with physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caretakers, and family members to construct cohesive and comprehensive treatment strategies.
  • Provide vital education for patients and families that promotes continued progress outside our sessions.
  • Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and treatments as needed, ensuring seamless care throughout each therapeutic journey.
  • Keep precise and timely documentation that adheres to state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Continually advance your knowledge by engaging in professional development and collaboration with peers.

Educational Requirements

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) unless already ASHA-certified.

Certifications Needed

  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
  • Preferable: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
